Net and Cotton Party Dress with Shrug

My Angel in cute Net and Cotton Party Dress. I made this dress for her Birthday on 11th September, which she will be wearing in her school. I made this dress using Cotton fabric, so that she can wear it easily for 4-5 hours of school. Have a look on tutorial................

Material used :--

1.5 meter of printed cotton fabric
1.5 meter of Pink and Purple net fabric
1 meter of flower pattern lace
1 meter Red cotton fabric

Some more kids dress patterns

Hi ! everyone, I learnt sewing since college going days, after that had long break and started again three years back , recently I have been very active in sewing projects for myself and kids dresses. Some dresses I made before I started blogging and want to share them also, incase you like them and want me to post tutorial, I will sure do that. Colorful T - shirt bubble dress

Hi everyone, Prisha got Rakhsabandhan gift from her little cute brother, but unfortunately the colorful beautiful T-shirt is fix, so I decided to make cute colorful dress by attaching skirt to it, this dress is completed in 45 minutes only, super simple. Have a look on tutorial.............



Material Required :-

Any short T-shirt of your angel
Left over fabric (I used red, yellow and blue strips of cotton fabric)
Lining fabric
1/2 inch elastic 1 meter




1. Join strips together length wise and ruffle it from top and bottom.



2.Cut lining half of main fabric width wise to make bubble bottom. Ruffle lining also on both top and bottom ends,  first stitch it on front bottom  and flip it on back side of main fabric and stitch it on top of skirt.



3. Now join both T - shirt and skirt together at waistline.

Prisha's Tulle Tutu dress

I made this party dress for my little girl, I had some fabric left from what I bought for my daughters lehenga and decided to made this one and it turned out very very beautiful, that my elder girl felt jealous. Now I will make one for her also very soon....... have a look ...........



Prisha call this dress Barbie shoe dress as she loves Barbie in Pink Shoes movie.



She is ready for Birthday Party Celebration in her School which held on every second Wednesday of the month.


Yesterday I bought new pair of shoes for her and she is very happy, telling everyone "See  my barbie shoes".






Material required :-

1/2 meter pink printed fabric for bodice (I used fabric left from saree)
1.5 meter light golden fabric for skirt
2 meter yellow net fabric (color of your choice or same as i used)
1 meter lining
1/2 meter pink net
1/2 meter pink satin fabric
1 button
sewing material

Measurements :-

For bodice:--
height = 8" + 2"
waist = 6" + 2"

For Skirt:--
height = 14"+3" for golden lining
             14"+1" for yellow net
             12" for lining
width = as you like (I took whole width of the fabric + 1)



1. Cut printed fabric and lining together as shown in pic below cutting only one shoulder and pin them together.



2. Stitch from shoulder.



3. Measure and fold in layers and cut yellow net fabric, now join all layers length wise and ruffle them.




4. Now join two layers of golden fabric and  ruffle .

5. Join net and golden fabric together keeping net on top.



6. Stitch bottom of golden fabric by turning it by 1.25 inches.


7. Ruffle lining also if bigger than the two fabric and join with other two.


8. Cut 1.25 inch slanting strips from pink satin fabric for neck and shoulders piping.



9. Join all strips length wise by keeping corners in opposite side, in order to get stretchable long strip.




10. Now stitch the strip on shoulder and neck area of bodice on front side.


11. Now turn strip on backside and stitch over the edge to make piping as shown.





12. Join bodice parts together leaving margin.



13. Cut 1 inch strips out of pink net and ruffle them together.



14. Join pink ruffled strips on front bottom of yellow net.





15. Join bodice and skirt together.



16. Cut 6" wide 2 strips out of pink satin and join them together for belt.



16.  Now cut slantly both ends by folding it in half  and stitch it by leaving little bit un-stitched to turn it over.





17. Turn over the belt and pin it on waistline of dress from front center to front left of the dress.


18. Stitch it height wise at front center, right side, back center and left side of waistline.


19. Cut 1.5 inch strip out of yellow net if left and tie it on only shoulder and stitch one button on it. I insert a titch button on off shoulder side of dress for easy wearing, one can insert button, zip on back side also.
